My Story with Network Marketing

MY STORY SO FAR....

It all started sometimes in 2004 when my brother came back with a form and a story. I got attracted to the story. This is just what I have been looking for. I never really wanted to work for anyone. JOB wasn't just my thing, though I wasn't good at selling things

What got me

I was made to know that if I could get as many people to buy the product and also to join the company, I will be swimming in millions in a matter of years. That's simple....

I jumped in. Six months after, I had sold so much products, but I never got a bonus. Don't get me wrong, I made profits, maybe a lot but that wasn't exactly what I wanted. By my first one year, I had realised my mistake. I can only be paid when I recruite. By that time, I was heading for my compulsory one year youth service.

What Next?

I had realised, though a bit late that my partner company was a FRANCHISE, disguised as a Network Marketing Company. I left. But I didn't stop searching. I likes the sound of "Earning from heh efforts of many". I got introduced to several other companies, Network Marketing companies, Schemes - pyramid schemes and by 2012, I had registered in over 5 different companies, yet i hadn't found what I was looking for.

How I met Forever.

I got introduced into Forever Living product and sponsored by a lad I met. Mrs Winnifred Egbele. The first time I attended a BOM, a lady (can't remember her name now) was being presented with a brand new PASSAT CC By the manager. When she was supposed to pick her car, the car she chose wasn't in Nigeria, so, the company sent for it and when it arrived, she got it.

......this is awesome. Someone else paying for the car I drive?

I went to work and within 3 months, I qualified as a manager with Forever Living Product, I travelled on an international trip, free of  charge and since then, not only have I grown financially, I have become better and I am still growing

Lessons I Learnt

1. The first and the most worrisome of all the lessons I learn is that NOT all companies are really network marketing  ompanies. Most of the companies are FRANCHISES, disguised as Network marketing companies.

2. If a  company does not have products or services, that company is a Pyramid Scheme. If they registration forms only and want you to sell forms, run for your dear life, that company is illegal.

3. You can't make so mu h money from a one product company. Your market is limited.

4. You cannot get to the top of any network marketing company's marketing plan, working for several. In other word, if you are working with more than one network marketing company at a time, there is a possibility that you'll remain a mediocre. Top earners in network marketing companies remain loyal to ONE company until they get to the top.

WHY FOREVER.

There are ten (10) major reasons I chose to stay with Forever Living Products.

1. The number one and the most important reason is that, I have the opportunity of building  not just a residual income (income that keeps coming in even when I am not working), but a willable income. Just like Dangote, Otedola and the rest, my business will remain in my family even when I die. My children can inherit it!!!

The rich kids sold all their candy while the poor kids could not. So, I like to sell and for every product I sell, my profit is 21% of the cost price.

4. I get to drive a FREE Brand New Car: It's call Forever2Drive.......

While building MY business, with Forever Living Product as partner, they can give me a brand new car of my choice. And every 3 years, they can change my car. Hmmmm....that sounds delicious

Discipline is the constant human awareness of the need for action and the conscious act by us to implement that action. If our awareness and our implementation occur at the same time, then we begin a valued sequence of disciplined activities. 

Now, here is the other side of discipline. If there is a considerable time that passes between the moment of awareness and the time of our implementation, then it is called procrastination - doing it tomorrow instead of today. 

Procrastination is the exact opposite of discipline. The voice within us says 'get it done!' Discipline then says 'do it now, do it to the best of your ability today, tomorrow and always until finally the worthy deed becomes instinctive. Procrastination says 'later, tomorrow, whenever I get a chance.' Procrastination also says 'do what is necessary to get by or impress others, do what you can but not what you must'. 

In every circumstance we face, we are constantly presented with these two choices - do it now or do it later, discipline and procrastination, a choice between a disciplined existence bearing the fruit of achievement and contentment or procrastination, the easy life for which the future would bear no fruit, only the bare branches of mediocrity.

The rewards of a disciplined life are great but they are often delayed until some time in the future. The rewards for a lack of discipline are immediate but they are minor in comparison to the immeasurable rewards of consistent self-discipline. And the immediate reward for a lack of discipline is a fun day at the beach; a future reward of discipline is owning the beach. For most, we chose today's pleasure rather than tomorrow's fortune.

You get to really work on your consistent self-discipline on a daily basis or you find yourself distracted - distracted by negative thoughts, distracted by negative people, distracted by water-cooler chatter, and pretty soon depending on the type of people you associated with, distracted by your doubt within yourself. Never underestimate the Power of influence and associations, and never underestimate the Power of your own consistent self-discipline.

Perhaps you are on the brink of giving up or starting over or starting out, and the only missing ingredient to your credible Success Story and the future is a new and self-imposed discipline that would make you to stay longer, try harder and work more intensely than you ever thought you possibly could. 4. In Network Marketing there is NO LIMIT to your earnings. Your earnings is based on your capacity. YOUR NETWORK DETERMINES YOUR NET WORTH i.e you determine what you earn. But as an employee your salary/wage is determined by your employer. There is a LIMIT to what you can earn.

5.In Network Marketing, you put in just FEW YEARS of hard work and continue to get RICHER and RICHER and you work lesser and lesser. But as an employee you continue to work harder and harder till you retire, and your income is reduced drastically after retirement, if at    all it is a pensionable job.

Salaries are like crack cocaine

These are seven reasons why i think that salary earners are the same with crack cocaine addictct

1. Each time you do drugs, you get high.
This is also true of getting paid. Science has proven that the same part of your brain, the reward center, is stimulated by both drugs and money. So, every time you get paid, you are essentially feeling a similar satisfaction to that of a drug fix.

2. To feed your reward center, you need the drug on a regular, predictable basis.
Not knowing where your next drug high is coming from is nerve-racking; the same can be said of a salary. If you have ever been laid off, fired or unemployed for some other reason, you know well what I am talking about --  that intense feeling of worry and uncertainty over when you might receive your next paycheck. It's for this same reason that people feel scared to leave their jobs, of their own choosing. The fear of losing that regular paycheck overshadows the desire to break free.

3. You set up your life around the drug.
Addicts allow their addiction to control their life. It affects how they spend their day, every single day. In some cases, the drug even takes priority over family. Sound familiar?
Can you think of any times in your life when you let something control you that much? For many people, this sounds exactly like their job. Glaucoma is a condition that causes damage to your eye's
optic nerve and gets worse over time. It's often associated
with a buildup of pressure inside the eye. Glaucoma tends to
be inherited and may not show up until later in life.
The increased pressure, called intraocular pressure, can
damage the optic nerve, which transmits images to the brain.
If damage to the optic nerve from high eye pressure
continues, glaucoma will cause permanent loss of vision.
Without treatment, glaucoma can cause total permanent
blindness within a few years.
Because most people with glaucoma have no early symptoms
or pain from this increased pressure, it is important to see
your eye doctor regularly so that glaucoma can be diagnosed
and treated before long-term visual loss occurs.
If you are over the age of 40 and if you have a family history
of glaucoma, you should have a complete eye exam with an
eye doctor every one to two years. If you have health
problems such as diabetes or a family history of glaucoma or
are at risk for other eye diseases, you may need to visit your
eye doctor more frequently.

Why Does Pressure Rise in the Eye to Cause Glaucoma?

Glaucoma usually occurs when pressure in your eye
increases. This can happen when eye fluid isn't circulating

eye through a mesh-like channel. If this channel becomes
blocked, fluid builds up, causing glaucoma. The direct cause

What Are the Symptoms of Glaucoma?

should have a complete exam with an eye specialist every one
to two years. Occasionally, intraocular pressure can rise to
severe levels. In these cases, sudden eye pain, headache,
blurred vision, or the appearance of halos around lights may
occur.
