To succeed in any business, you will need to be a master in that business. So very quickly we are going to be looking at 5 key areas of mastery for business success.
1. Firstly is MENTAL mastery:
You need to see the picture of your future, if you cant master it in your mind you can't handle it with your hands. It just have to be from your mind.
The first mindset is that it is possible, you need to have a mentality that that big dream is possible, you need to see dreams that are bigger than you. I don't knw wat ur biz level is, it may just be a corner shop, but I want you to picture something bigger than that right now
Take a deep thought, what are u seeing? Permit me to force you to dream, see that your corner shop becoming a chains of store.
I want you to see that your small business in one corner in owerri becoming a global conglomerate. In 30sec close our eyes and have a big dream, let make it practical. Your mind is yours, you're not paying rent for it so go ahead and explore it.
What are you seeing? Do we have anyone that can share his or her own with us? (Do that using the comments box). It is important infact compulsory that you write down what youu've seen, because until you write it down plain, you can't run with it. Any vision not written down is just an infatuation.
Another thing to know in mastering your mind is that it is by choice and so making it in that business is by choice. The truth is that some people are satisfied with just making it small, just being a little comfortable, but I don't think those are who I'm addressing on this forum. It is those that won't be satisfied until they make a mark in the business world.

2. TIME Mastery
Your respect for time is a prediction of your financial future.
Please what is the unit for measuring life?
The unit of measuring life is time
So time wasting is what?
Time wasting is Life wasting
We all have equal amount of time, the different between you and any other person is the investment u put into every minute of your time. Therefore, time wasting is life wasting. When u are whiling away time, u are whiling away Life.
You must take your time precious and allocate your time accordingly
When we were in school we had timetable, that is time management we are being thought.
You schedule every movement, as business person, you schedule, your meetings, the place you'll be going, your calls, if you're making sales call, you are visiting a place, everything movement and use of ur time must have a purpose. If u don't know what to do with your time it shows you don't know where u are going. Pick up books and read, make researches, it may not look like anything now but u are making investment. You are depositing and when the time for withdrawals come, you may not remember where you read it but it'll be relevant then.
Please don't be a time waster because a time waster is a life waster.
3. Skill or Professional mastery.
I'll quickly talk about another important mastery to make a successful enterpreneur. When you master your skill you become sort after
If u go on your street you will see many tailors, you can give 10 different tailors, the same materials, appear b4 them to take the same measurement, give them the same design.
But when all submit, all ten will be different, why?
Skill and d degree of expertise. It is their mastery of the skill that is different, and that determines the level of what each of them is worth. Until you master your skill nobody will look for you.

Invest in books, invest in journals, invest in articles, invest in trainings, attend seminars, and conference. The more access you have to information, the more result you command. Here we also talks about mentorship. Having a coach. Everyone who arrive any place high have a coach

So, look for one, get a coach. There is no field of endeavors dat doesn't have wat to learn from. How to cut hair better, how to plant, how to sell. Think of it and always research on it. Thank God, nobody have a monopoly of knowledge now, every knowledge has been democratize
4. COMMUNICATION Mastery will be the next we are looking at. As a business person you must learn to communicate. Both intra and inter communication. That is within the organization and outside. This can stretch to the subject of human resource management, marketing, sales etc
Communication within the organization. You Must know how to constantly communicate your vision to your team, have a vision and mission statement
Communication skill is an excellent skill to master as an entrepreneur. Have a logo, it doesn't cost much, u can do it yourself or pay little.
Learn how to communicate with ur staff. You don't scold a senior staff in presence of the junior
When some of your staff perform well appreciate them, you don't have to give dem money, call them out in the presence of others. Say let us appreciate Mr. A, he is the highest sales man of the month. Let otherscongratulate him, give him award, it may be little but he'll want to do more. And others will also want to be appreciated
5. Lastly I'll talk on LEADERSHIP Mastery.
You must lead by example. You're the one with the vision so you show how it should be done
You patiently train and teach ur staff/team. And ofcourse, you must as well know what you are doing.
Also, to succeed as a leader, you must learn how to delegate. Delegate some responsibilities but know that leadership begins with you. You want your people to dress corporate, you'll dress so
You want dem to be at work by 8am u get there 7.30am. You don't lead from behind, you lead in front
You want dem to make high sales, you'll be d highest salesman of the company. You can't train wat u don't have, therefore learn and lead by example.
Above all, you can't succeed without God. Integrity is God's value in any business.
